Early Years Foundation Stage Development Matters

Development Matters Curriculum Guidance 2021

Development Matters is non-statutory curriculum guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage (children from birth until the end of their Reception year at school) which was revised in 2021. We use this guidance to guide our thinking about how children develop and learn. We have also used it to design our own Tarnerland Curriculum - see below.

Our Assessment Statement describes how we aim to understand every child's attainment and progress in order to effectively and dynamically inform our curriculum implementation. We are committed to reducing unnecessary administrative tasks, allowing educators more time for direct interaction with children.
